1. Overview
This explains what [MVP Legal Entity] collects and how we use it for mvphorse.com.
2. What we collect
Account info (name, email, password); profile info (phone number and notification preferences if you provide them); horse and enrollment data you enter; marketplace listings and photos you upload; payment metadata from our processor (we do NOT store full card numbers — card data is handled by Stripe); usage/device data (e.g. log data, basic analytics); cookies needed to run the site and keep you signed in.
3. How we use it
To provide the service, verify earnings against public sources, send you deadline reminders and account notifications you've opted into, process payments, operate the marketplace, and improve the product.
4. SMS & email reminders
If you opt in, we use your phone/email to send transactional reminders (payment deadlines, verification results). See our SMS & Messaging Terms. You can opt out anytime (reply STOP to texts, or in Settings).
5. Sharing & processors
We share data with service providers who run the platform on our behalf: hosting/database (Supabase), payments (Stripe), and, at launch, SMS (a provider such as Twilio) and transactional email. We don't sell your personal information. Public pages you choose to make public (e.g. a shareable horse/verification page or a live marketplace listing) are visible to anyone with the link.
6. Data retention & deletion
We keep data while your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data by contacting support@mvphorse.com.
7. Your choices
Access/update your info in Settings; manage notification preferences; decline non-essential cookies where offered.
8. Children
MVP is not intended for anyone under 18.
9. Security
We use reasonable safeguards, but no system is perfectly secure.
10. Changes
We'll post updates here with a new effective date.
